Pan sausage gravy with square biscuits - a must for every table. Great omelets too! Easily one of the best breakfast spots near the Villages

This place as well as Trip Advisor give high marks for this place. If I am rating the ambience of the place as well as the friendliness of the server and manager, I'll give it 5 stars. Either we missed out on the dishes or that many reviewers haven't had good breakfast. I am not saying it's bad but can't seem to find out why the dishes are special. Briar Patch in Winter Park is more expensive but they give all out on the food. IHOP as a chain serves pretty good breakfast at a very reasonable price. Except for the cute names they give for the dishes, I have difficulty why we should return for breakfast.

We saw the reviews on yelp and decided to go out of our way to eat here. They have excellent biscuits and gravy. Everything is made from scratch. Don't be in a big hurry - they are very friendly and refill the coffee a lot! Would highly recommend. Hard to find non- chain breakfast places in FL and this one was worth the effort to get there.

I live in The Villages and heard of this place on our community website where everyone was raving about it. Everything is fresh and you can really taste it. The staff and owner are super friendly and will know your name by the third time you visit. I highly recommend them!

Great, fresh, real home made food. The biscuits are light, moist and toasted on the flat top. Chicken and waffles were great, never had it done with wings before. The big breakfasts are huge, I took some home in a box. Husband had biscuits and sausage gravy, with poached eggs, toast and grits; he did not eat lunch that day! When we get back to FL, I hope to try their lunch menu.

We have been to this place several times since we moved to The Villages. It is by far the best place for breakfast in this area (we have not tried lunch yet). Everything is made fresh (if it comes out of a can, we don't serve it!!) The husband runs the front of the house, while the wife cooks. Service is very friendly and good. Homemade corn beef hash; bacon is fantastic; eggs are perfect; real maple syrup; homemade muffins; to die for home fries...you get the picture!! If you like a great breakfast.....THIS PLACE ROCKS!!!

I had the seasoned and grilled catfish with two eggs over medium, potatoes, a blueberry biscuit and coffee. It was all delicious. Well worth the short wait for both the table and food. Arrive with patience. This is a tiny joint with a hard working staff. I was visiting friends in the villages from boynton beach fl. Will be back next time!!

First visit and it was AWESOME!!!!! Had breakfast...potatoes are to die for as is the biscuits and gravy, and the smoked link sausage. The orange cranberry biscuit can't be beat...anywhere! Come once and it will be your go to spot, it is ours.

The potatoes were very good and the blueberry biscuits were amazing. The biscuits and gravy with the original biscuits do not compare to the blueberry biscuits!

Great food. Amazing service. You get called by name, not a number. You are a person, it really is service they way service should be. The food is amazing. It is real food. Homemade, with real ingredients. My husband and I love both breakfast and lunch and wish they were open for dinner. I will keep going back.

We drove there today for breakfast & found the place to be closed. The hours need to be updated on several websites since the hours are staring it is open on Mondays! Quite an inconvenience...

oh my god this place is wonderful this is a breakfast/lunch place with great southern food I had the catfish and grits which came with eggs and biscuits not sure how they seasoned the catfish but it was some of the best catfish I have ever had the grits gave me new appreciation for that southern staple, creamy, buttery...mmm the biscuits were light and fluffy and they came toasted/griddled (cut in half and toasted on the grill with butter....mmm....butter - makes everything better) unfortunately we found this place on my last day in town for a while but when I do come back I am gonna make this one of my first stops for food and Rae and the Mama Hen should be proud
